Julie represents employees in discrimination, harassment, and whistleblower retaliation cases against public and private employers, with experience in state court, federal court, and arbitration. She played a crucial role in securing an $8 million settlement in Barker v. San Mateo County, one of the largest single-plaintiff employment settlements against a public entity in California history, and she has been recognized on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list—an honor awarded to fewer than 2.5% of attorneys in each state who are under 40 or have been in practice for fewer than 10 years and have demonstrated excellence in their legal practice.

Before joining Franklin Law, Julie served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Dennis M. Cota in the Eastern District of California, designed and taught an undergraduate course at UCLA on law and neuroscience, and served on the executive board of the UCLA Criminal Justice Law Review.

Julie earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where she graduated cum laude with distinction in all subjects.

Outside of work, she enjoys practicing Pilates, collecting rare books, and spending time with her cats, Atticus and Matches.
